The suspicion of thinking, the idea that thought may be the devil’s entrance, explains a lot of our “irrational ” political choices here in TN where I live and breathe —we’ve been trained already.

Yes, though I left Nashville 18 years ago, many people dear to me still live there, and I've watched with sadness and disbelief at some of the happenings in recent years. It definitely was NOT like that when I lived there. Something has changed, and not for the better.

Well said Michael and the shirt metaphor is great...cannot believe you saved the shirt--literally for 'such a time as this'. Am a tad further down the same road, the freedom only gets better, your own truth easier to live. Am in your camp!
